Leading British wedding and engagement ring manufacturer Brown & Newirth are already seeing the benefits of working with TerryberryReward to implement a retail partner incentive scheme to increase sales and extend their market share. Formed in 1967 the workshops at Brown & Newirth have been skilfully handcrafting the finest bridal, commitment and partnership jewellery in the UK. Over recent years many of these traditional skills have been married seamlessly with the latest advances in technology.

Wedding rings are sold via a retailer network comprising of independent and multiple jewellery retailers, all of whom have shared values of high quality and personal service. We helped Brown & Newirth introduce their scheme, which was the first of its type in the industry, which offers participants a chance to gain points through the sale of jewellery. With a dedicated branded website individual sales staff can monitor the points they have earned and redeem them against 3,500 luxury goods or experiences days from our Aspirations reward range.

John Ball, Sales Director of Brown & Newirth took time out to provide us with feedback from the scheme:

How did you launch the scheme?

“We trialled it for 3 months before rolling out to the wider retailer audience once we knew it was going to be the success we had hoped. Overall there were over 3,000 retail staff eligible to join the scheme.”

What was the reaction from your retail partners?

“Elation! They were really excited to be offered such a great opportunity to enthuse and importantly, motivate their sales teams to secure incremental business they may have lost to a competitor prior to the launch of the rewards scheme. Most of the industry incentives offered to retailers are based on short-term results or campaigns offering one (pre-defined) item as a reward. Our scheme is very slick as participants are registered individually and can build up their points over a longer period and then choose a reward that suits their personal aspiration.”

What has been the impact on the business?

“It’s made a big difference! We’ve seen an increase of around 15% year on year sales. The criteria for rewards allocation is based on all 3 areas; loyalty, hard work and increase in market share.”
